Things like this can't be work in progress, in my opinion you just make a new header test it locally with Photoshop or even Paint to see how it looks. Then just update

That Christmas one which has been removed looked disgusting. Colour doesn't look good but I like the hat placement. The I'd say leave it as it is if it'll be replaced with a rubbish one. Just because I'm staff doesn't mean I can't dislike something. Capone, you need to look for a new GFX artist.
