New to Niche & SEO - Help Please? :)

Hi,

So i have my site, which currently is called Swag Clothing (CLICK HERE). The whole point of this site, or blog rather, is to blog about the latest 'swag' fashion from top tier brands like Gucci, Louis V, Armani. Some examples are Shoes, Hats, Shirts, Pants, etc. Maybe it'll include some sun glasses too. Its more or less a retail clothing blog about swag. It is a WIP.

My problem is i don't know how Niche and SEO work. BlaZe kind of introduced me to it and said you should focus on a single sole keyword and elaborate on it in a post, but don't spam, because google notices?

Like:

1) How do i 'niche' per se a site like mine? one dedicated to 'swag clothing'

2) How do i apply a good SEO? I use SEO Yoast on my fitness blog, and it always says the SEO is 'good' and shows a green light. Don't know if that means its 'good' or 'good' by the plugin standards

3) Are there anyways of Monetizing on content like this? If so, what kind of Wordpress plugins/scripts or ads or whatever.

4) Does Bolding Italizing Underlining help SEO?

I am new to the 'legal' side of webmastering, and i like it a bit better, and i want to learn more about this subject!

Right now i have my

Swagclothing.org/swag

I'm still learning how to properly use Google Trends and Google Adwords Keyword Search Tool, although not a member of Adsense itself.

I have looked at several slideshows, a couple videos on youtube, and a article about it, but im still confused :(

What I think i know, But is Probably Wrong

1) When using Keywords, longtail keywords are generally better in terms of SEO
eg, wjunction vs wjunction webmaster

2) Don't spam your keyword, google notices and will reduce your PR

3) Header, Title, and url should contain your keyword or longtail keyword

4) Unique content, don't copy + paste the same content off another site, instead gather various infos from various websites/articles and write your own, using your keyword's and longtail keyword's to generate SEO

5) Link to articles you have read. to learn about the specific topic you are writing about, as this generates Backlinks and further increases your PR

6) Link up with other sites, with the same niche as you (for me that could be 'swag' or 'clothing' or 'swagger clothing' etc) so you get more of your link around the web and generate higher PR

7) If you are writing a post, but you have another post that is relevant, link to it in your new post (new post links to old post) increasing the index of the post linked in the new post.

8) Host images yourself on whatever you use, and using the 'alt-text' to generate more traffic through google images.
