Hi Sp32, no one will be able to see it, because to see that page, you have to be logged in. You could just paste it here though, and click the
PHP:
 button I believe, and it will display the code.

Here, pasted =)..

Example 6: VBulletin Forum Mod

Here is how to modify your VB posts with custom linking codes for Sharingzone:

1. Login to your VBulletin AdminCP
2. Go to Styles & Templates
3. Search in Styles for:

$post[message]

4. Click Search
5. Click Postbit
6. Find:

$post[message]

7. Then enter the following code below $post[message]:

<if condition="$show['guest']">
<if condition="$forum[forumid] == 17">
<center>
<a href="http://youridhere.sharingzone.net/?q=$thread[title]">
<b>Download $thread[title] Here (Guaranteed Easiest-To-Download!)</b>
</a>
</center>
</if>
</if>
The above code will cause the link to appear only to guests.

8. To show the link to all users including guests, enter:

<if condition="$forum[forumid] == 17">
<center>
<a href="http://youridehere.sharingzone.net/?q=$thread[title]">
<b>Download $thread[title] Here (Guaranteed Easiest-To-Download!)</b>
</a>
</center>
</if>

Yeah, the reason why the code didn't work because you used my forumid == 17

you need put 17 as you what your forum id is

your guest section might be a different id you can check @ admincp in forums and moderators

Sharingzone is untested in forums, however, the VB mod is still being developed as we learn about how to implement it. If anyone figures out what to put in place of "forumid == 17", or if that line can be omitted, please let me know.

It's best to do at least two things, to help sales, if you run a forum:
  1. On your forums main page, put some kind of link list, or search cloud, where all links go to sharingzone via customized linking codes.
  2. Have a big Search box on your forum near the top that says FILE SEARCH, then, put some sponsored search results, the first few links going to sharingzone, when a user searches for a file name (ie. Searchterm Full version, Searchterm (2009), Searchterm Rapidshare links, etc..
These two tricks really bring up the sales!

If you'd like to make the links stand out more you could put them in a box, like this:

Here's how to do it - http://www.wjunction.com/showpost.php?p=82242&postcount=5 (Note: Your thread title goes here will actually be replaced with the thread title)

Anyways thanks Sp32 ;)

good mod. but not recommended for the forum guys who submit to katz. already warezhaven is banned for those misleading links. anywayz its not like katz traffic will convert anywayz, you need to drive your google traffic to SZ.

Yeah not a good idea to have threads in katz which have this mod, make sure you use every forum except for the ones you submit to katz, I don't like the link appearing in my discussion zones so I just removed it altogether :(

Sp32, why don't you use conditonals...?

Display info on a certain forum; (Change the X to your desired forum number)
<if condition="$forum[forumid] == X"></if>

And if you don't want it to show on some forums use;
<if condition="$forum[forumid] != X"></if>

Hope it helps ;)
