Hello,

It is possible to have multiple IPB forum with same user database (forums are on different servers)?

Example 1:

Forum A : exampleA.com
Forum B : exampleB.com

So I'm old forum member of exampleA.com and when I want to login exampleB.com I can just use exampleA.com username and password , also when user register in exampleB.com his account will automatically added to exampleA.com.

Something like combine the total user number.

Example 2:

It is possible to have exampleA.com and exampleA.com shared the same post count , user login , password , but different forum. so user post in exampleB.com his post count will increase in exampleA.com too

(PS : Question is quoted from another site, but my question is same)

You need to have something called table sync.. Do NOT go for database sync since that will kill one or borh of your databases.
It is pretty hard to do and get everything running but when done, its awesome.

IP.Converge allows you to link several IP.Board installs to share logins. Note that IP.Converge will be discontinued with IP.Board 3.4 and its functionality replaced with built-in functions as of 3.4.

Requires Ioncube.
