Not my type of movie, I dont like Leonardo DiCaprio either except his few movies, After watching that trailer I need to be on weed to watch such movie : |

LOL, well I hope it's good. My girlfriend is dragging me to see this, so we'll see.

I had to see Anna Korina with her when it was out, there is no way that this will be worse than that. Trust!

My "The Great Gatsby Review".

Saw the movie last week on it's opener and would have to say that it started off well. Walked into the cinema ordered me and my girlfriend some popcorn, cheese pretzels and her a glass of wine, and then we were off to find our seats.

The theater was packed, but we were able to find seats that lined up perfectly with the center of the screen (this is a must for any true movie goer). Also the seats weren't too far up front or too far back.

The movie itself started of unexpectedly in a story telling mode by Toby McGuire who was reflecting on something from his past. From start to finish this movie just continued to build. From who is this "Great Gatsby" character - to lavish lifestyles and parties and a secret identity. The movie had you questioning just who is this guy? The soundtrack, acting and screenplay was brilliant. All of the actors were on their A game, especially Leonardo DiCaprio. The effects were great and the lavish lifestyle that was being lived is any man's dream lol. The movie ended in a different kind of way not to my liking, there were parts of the movie that had my girl in tears which I always hate when it happens (but you tend to get used to it when it happens at every single movie you watch).

Overall I give The Great Gatsby a 8/10 for it's remarkable acting performances and the great flow the movie had. Only reason it didn't get the 10 is because I didn't personally like the ending or the fact that the movie was 2 1/2 hours long (which is typical with any Baz Luhrmann film). I appreciate a great film when I see one and this one is a must see for anyone.
