Hello...

I am looking for advise. I had a blog up on bloggers exposing info about a pedophile. My identity was pretty secure as I was using a proxy, but the pervert complained and had my site taken down because it showed his personal information.

Is there a host that is relatively easy to use (technically) like bloggers (blogspot) that will allow adult material and not be taken down due to complaints over personal information/copyright??

I'm guessing this has to be a reliable non-US based company, that is fine. I want to make my own blog name and have it searchable on most search engines (bing/google)...oh yeah i want to host a 300 Meg video...

Any ideas???

I have the basic HTML read to go, but I need a space, something to host images, something that can also accept Chinese (BIG 5) font (as default), and a way to track traffic...

I don't know about Tumblr but I don't believe Wordpress allows adult material. They are U.S. based I believe so I'm pretty sure they will take down stuff if someone complains abou copywrite/not having permission to use their image.

If you are indeed actually violating a copyright and someone reports it to your host, they don't really have a choice but to take the site down. At least in the US that's how it works. As for adult content - why not just get a VPS or something and host it yourself so you don't have to deal with any red tape?

There are many offshore web hosts available , check shared hosting section.

also I've been working on a blogger/wordpress like offshore blogging system (custom wpmu), will take around 3-4 days to finish.

that server is in Romania, and blogs/cms created on it should be able to ignore dmca. Although upload size limit will be 30MB.

What you guys seem to be ignoring is that this isn't purely a DMCA issue. Exposing someone's personal information, no matter what they did or didn't do, is a whole different set of laws.

There really isn't a whole lot of places you can go to avoid this one. Most countries who aren't huge on DMCA still have some sort of privacy laws in place and no reputable host is going to sacrifice their business hosting your blog for $2 a month.
