LOL at Hotfile

So as some of you already seen, I made a post about not being able to remote upload to Hotfile from Rapidshare.

So today I go to Hotfile and I can't even get on their site due to this error:

PHP:
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections in /hotfile/www/inc/mysql.inc.php on line 12

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) in /hotfile/www/inc/mysql.inc.php on line 22

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: A link to the server could not be established in /hotfile/www/inc/mysql.inc.php on line 22
Mysql error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
SELECT id, username, password, email, premium, directdownload, noiphash, autosendlinks, paymentinfo, paymenttype, paiduntill, premiumuntil, dtregistered, reseller, suspended FROM users WHERE id=128973

Now that is pretty funny. So either they are getting some sort of DDos attack, got some heavy unexpected traffic, or their servers just can't handle the load.

In anycase kinda odd to see a big site like that down really.

Any site can/could go down if they get flooded with a large influx of traffic. That's not really surprising.

If something like Google can make a mistake where they accidentally flag all URLs in their search as harmful.. then a site like hotfile.com going down for a while is no surprise, tbh.

One more thing i am noticing today is that my earnings are not increasing, nor is the last download time is changing. I was making around $3 a day till yesterday but now no downloads, is that possible?

They just need to change the mysql config.
They should also set display_errors to off in their php.ini...

Indeed Crucify with lots of warez sites down and even WJ it goes to show the amount of sites on ecatel, I never thought even WJ was on ecatel's network. :P

actually ecatel was down due to a very good reason. they are upgrading their network to IPv6.... so u can't blame them for upgrading their connections lol. :)
