Something is going wrong with the harddrive detection I think. I assume you get the error when booting? And I also assume your external harddrive is plugged in while installing? If it is, unplug it, boot the CD, reinstall and reboot with the external hard-drive disconnected.

Edit: 0.0.3 will be out today or tomorrow.

God damnz. I want a fully working version. When I see good reviews about this and fully working reviews...I will download and install and dualboot with Ubuntu.

This IS fully working =/. I have it installed myself (triple boot). But like with everything there will always be a few people that run into trouble for whatever reason. For 9 out of 10 people there should be no problem.

This thread is kinda pwnin xD
Add icsnap and MPB =)
it'll be easy :) i'll try the new OS on vmware (:

Both are not compatible with Mono (means they don't run on Linux) yet. I'm not sure if Jay is going to 'fix' that or not. Best thing is to ask him.

Looks hawt. Hope to see Rick roll protection in the next release.

Actually, with Ad Block Plus shipping with Firefox as of 0.0.3 you can easily add the rick roll blocklist ;).

You can't do anything with Windows except change a few settings and do some registry hacks. To implement the idea behind LiveW you need a fully open sourced system. Also, you can still use icSnap and MPB trough Wine on LiveW if you really want to. As a last point, Windows is to insecure for people who deal with warez daily, AV software doesn't change that.

Yeah that is true. But still I had a soft sometime back with which we were able to edit the softs and stuffs
and yeah not really safe. But if we dont save any pass + downloads soft from trusted place then it'll be aswm :) but still it will phail some day >_>

I get that error when im at the finally stage of using the Live Installer. I've tryd re-booting etc.. & unplugging external HD when installing makes no difference.

Must have something to do with your Windows again then. God I hate vendor lockins X-(.

Try this, I'm fairly sure it will help:
Install it again and when the installer reaches this point:

Click on the blue Boot link. On that page click the boot loader installation tab and make sure these are selected:

Make sure the boot from master boot record is checked. That should fix the booting by replacing the Windows boot record with Grub. Then just click ok and continue installation as normal.

Yup clean install. I know it's not fun for those who _always_ want to have the latest version installed but it is impossible for me to offer a full system update option.

So did you get it to work via my Master Boot Record suggestion then?

Edit: You can easily skip 0.0.3 btw, the only noticeable changes there will be in Firefox.

Yup Hyperz.. The master boot record done the trick and got rid of that bug i was getting.. & Il guess il skip that then cause i don't really need any add-ons etc.. for FireFox.. One thing though when i try to open programs that i have downloaded/from my External HD then won't open and give me a command output line error and opens a archive manager?

Yes, that's a known issue and is stated on the 1st post. Temporary solution is not to open files via firefox but to browse to the download folder and open them there.

This issue has been addressed in fixed in 0.0.3, there it will now auto select the best program to open/view.

Oh and since you have it installed on your HDD, don't forget about your video card drivers :p.
