This post would contain a list of domain registrars that are offshore.By 'offshore' i mean they won't share your data to 3rd parties like USA companies and won't suspend domain based on DMCA.

@Gogos if i were you i would buy the .com anonymously and then redirect the .com to .se
This is because if you buy a .com with real whois , then US can still get you:)

offshore domains are not only used by file hosts ... Of course filehosts close one by one because he have affiliate programs and support warez unknowing !

I think a filehoster like Rapidshare can't shoutdown in the future ...

Go for .ws or .su
Be sure to host your site in offshore location like Romania and HongKong
 
webnames . ru seems good.

But can anyone do a tutorial on how to buy a domain there, even if I select ENG some parts are still in RUS, and I don't speak Russian...

Also what payments are accepted ?

Lastly, do we have private whois automatically ? Or is it and additional thing ? If so a tutorial would be good too !

Private whois should be activated automatically.....for me it wasn't activated as i didn't understand all options{russians}.All i dod was sent a mail to then and it was activated:)
