Like two or three of them are spambots, the rest is uploading/hotfile retards who neither CODE links or make proper description.

hmm.. about hotfile banning.. i think better to add your site name for more help :P coz some uploader sometimes did post hot file and spread them


I usually post hotfile link tooo :P but i follow with other link.. RS,MU,MS, sometimes FF (multimirror..)


Yesterday is uploading . com some people called spam, nowdays is hotfile link said spam ... :)) i just wonder why rapidshare not called spam :P, just some opinion.
 
the majority of hotfile users spam and are crap uploaders, I don't know many webmasters what want these kind of people, also updated again

i agree with this..

my thaught is even host paid for uploader is not matter.. coz they can use that money to get more fast bandwidth and do share more :D

i dont "support" hotfile, but i understand why people do it. It becomes really tough because there are so many people uploading, people just want to see a return for their efforts nowadays. I know thats not in turn with the "scene" of old, but things are evolving now. Thats my 2 cents anyway. And apologies for being OT.

But on topic, its unfair to ban hotfile users just because of that. If that were the case, why not compile a global banning list? People learn, people wont do it if you ask them not to unless they are idiots, its just generalising an entire population.
 
in my list of ips by me I haven't included any hotfile uploaders, just a few other people have

How many people actually ban IPs on your sites? It's normally a pretty bad idea considering most of them are probably dynamic, so you could potentially be blocking genuine members in the future. Banning IPs won't stop you getting DDoSed either...
