link checker mod

is there any good link checker mod which is available for phpbb3

the one which relases in wbb is not good for phpbb3 it has some bugs.

plz help me

There actually is one out and its on this very board. I installed it on my board (phpBB3) works like a charm.

EDIT: That's the WBB one xD. It works great. Duno whats cursed your board.

the problem is that
it also report post which is not dead

Fact is these mods cannot be trusted anymore, the sites keep on changing and authors don't get time to keep on updating. Although if you know PHP, you can always use that mod as a base and keep on updating the functions.

I'd say, better than a link checker bot is the community. Your members find a dead link - they report it.

Link checker bots often tend to break a lot!

Yea screw link checker bots they are so un-reliable just make sure members use the report button and hire more mods

I had a link checker bot, it messed up around 1,000 threads in my database on time. Never trusted one ever again

Lets safely assume NO BOT is perfect. If you guys are thinking WBB bot is perfect it makes mistakes many times and I've been in their dev team to know about it. If you think you are gonna run a bot with no wrongful binning you're wrong. The sites keep on updating everyday. Also, for small communities bot is not required, mods can do their work.
