I'm not aware of any issues last night(CET). Do you have a traceroute by any chance?

Yes, we did have a few downtimes on Rotterdam network due to Rotterdam network outages/issues and a part of our clientele was affected. It was completely out of our control, before that it was working flawless.

Downtime wasn't that long, about 3-4 hours in total. You will still have 99%+ uptime at the end of month. Once it's completely fixed(switches replaces / redundant network setup - you will be emailed about it) you can expect uptime close to 100% just as it used to be.

So many people recommended KnownSRV because it is one of the best hosts.

Every provider has downtime. Sometimes it is beyond there control.

Had my VPS setup lastnight and sent in a support to ticket to have Krun!x secure it and he scheduled it for today and when I woke up everything was ready to go.

Some of the best support you will find no matter what the issue is.

Tomorrow, Thursday July 14th 2011, at 04:00am CET our network provider will start with the emergency maintenance to switch over to the new XMR 4000 routers. First they will add the first XMR. Once that is in place they will schedule in another maintenance window about 1 week later to add the second XMR for full redundancy. The most downtime will happen at this maintenance window, because they will switch over all gateways from the current core to the new router. The estimated downtime for this window will be between 5-15 minutes per subnet. No more downtime should be expected. The maintenance window will be between 04:00am - 08:00am CET with max 5-15 minutes downtime for virtual server.

We hope everything will go as planned and we will send out another mailing once everything is finished.

AFFECTED IP RANGES: 213.* and 188.* Other IP ranges will NOT be affected. It applies only to the Rotterdam network.

UPDATE: Maintenance moved to 15th
UPDATE2: The maintenance has been delayed once again due to a change in configuration. It will be delayed for a few days.

On a side note, they plan everything very carefully, I don't expect more than 1-2 minutes downtime per VLAN.

But isn't that announcement (which I know of) about earlier maintenance? As far as I can see 16/7/2011 is mentioned no where.
Could you confirm the issue is caused by maintenance? I'll just go do something else than :)

Yes, it was supposed to be on 14/07/2011 but our datacenter delayed it, as stated in my post above.
