Is this email legit??

I received an email from a guy saying he is a broker of an investor who is interested in buying a domain name from me. He told me his clients budget and how many domains he was looking to purchase. He told me to give him a list of other domains I have which I did and he replied with interest of two others. But he said I need to have them appraised and get the certificate for his client before he sends any money.


He has been responding with me it seems real but IDK. I know there is a lot of scams going around online.


So he asks for me to get them appraised, using http://icann-certificates.org/appraisal.htm


Is this site legit?? Should I try having them appraised?

Here's my opinion: SCAM.

1) Search icann-certificates.org google. Nuf said.

There are lot of appraisal sites which are trusted. Also, do not sell the domains directly. Sell them through sedo or your registrar's marketplace so you have your back covered by them.

Nothing wrong in giving it a try if you sell via marketplace.

This is a scam! Don't send any money. Ignore the e-mail and mark as spam/phishing.
