Is there any blog network script to run blog network ?

Hi,
i want to start a blog network. where users can create their own blog. I though to do it using wordpress multisite. I also bought plugins for it. But peoples are saying that because of plugins it will take high resources. I also know it. But what to do ?
I am going to buy a vps with - 4GB RAM , 120 GB HDD, 8TB Bandwith when going to start a blog network.
Hope it will work on this.


Just wanted to know is there any script to run a blog network other than wordpress mulitsite ?

thanks for the reply but

No, its for wordpress management. I want to create a blog network. In simple words like blogger.com, wordpress.com in my country.

If its still not the one you are looking for then mate, you gonna have to pay to get it custom coded for your blogger. :)
 
i have run two large blognetworks, i still have the software around for it, just let me know if interested. It is a copy of the bloghoster and is heavily modified.

If you install good optimization plugins. Resource consumption will be significantly reduced when you install optimize plugins for cache memory.
