Is it expensive hosting .mp3 files?

I want to start a sound/.mp3 hosting service where you can upload a .mp3 file and then listen to it and even embed it.

However how hard will it be to profit with this?
If I placed some banner ads and popups do you think it'd be profitable?

Embeding will not help u just use away your bw and i dont think u can shove pops in embedding mp3 just keep it to download and listen on the site and use a script that has temporary download links not permanent so that people cant direct link
Note: Its the same listening to mp3 will use bw and space ofc depends on the size of the mp3 song

It shouldn't be horribly expensive. You could do this with a VPS. I doubt your users would appreciate a popup for just an mp3 as these are smaller files. Maybe you could do an easy close layer ad?

You would need a huge amount of space on your server to do so...

I would suggest uploading the Mp3's to a site where you get paid to have people download the file, might as well make a couple extra dollars instead of spending a ton.

not expensive 40 GB = 15$ USD , ( at Warez Hosting )

now i'm using some free upload centers like sharebeast , uploadboy & ... but they aren't good, because remove my files without any notice . really direct link is better than sharebeast & uploadboy
