An iTrader rating would be great, would let people build up reviews on the site and allow people to show what they really think of the service. A system for people to bid on sites / designs etc would be awesome too to allow people involved in those sorts of sales an easier ride since receiving a load of PMs / e-mails / replies on the thread probably isn't the greatest way of doing it :)
 
Increase PM inbox size! 100 is far too little.. I like to keep the messages that came from people who ripped me off, and it really racks up here..
Take it, I also don't want to spend 25 minutes going through 100 messages to delete useless ones.

Never going to happen. It has being discussed before. You can export messages in lots of different formats. I get up to 30 PM's a day (elj get's up to 50) and I've no trouble exporting and keeping track of them.

I've close to 1500 PM's now on my computer.

Fair enough, if it's already been discussed then that's fine. But I hardly doubt increasing our inbox size will have any effect on the server/database when it's a matter of another 100 messages. But if you disagree there's no point to argue over it, I guess what I'm saying is it would be nice.

It would make a big difference. You are only looking at it on small scale. You have to consider the total amount of members as well.

Some staff just take their "friends'" side instead of taking a look at both the party's issues. They act before they think. =]

I am, pm's are a few lines of text and even if every member had an extra 50 pm's in their inbox, nothing would happen.. It's just like adding 50 post count to all "active" members (I say active because not every single member will use the extra 50 pm's). Wjunction will load fine, mysql tables will have no problems and life will go on. I have a forum that is a bit smaller then wjunction and I admit I limit it too, but at 200 :P With the amount of money wjunction makes off those ads at the top there, they can afford a good vps or even a dedi, which can easily handle a bigger inbox for everyone :) To summarize, if you think that wjunction can't handle 50 extra pm's to any active members, you're saying that we should limit posting for each member too since they are in essence the same.. Well. my bad, I said I wasn't going to argue.. Mr Happy's method is fine, except when the staff ask for proof of a transaction. I would have to take a screenshot of an email file on my computer which can easily be modified..
 
This is very true. Every post that is being made, useless or not, is the same size like a PM.
A lot of people here are making many transactions using PM. Keeping those messages as records in case of any doubt on the transaction is pretty important.
And it's not like old PMs are stored somewhere.. they get dropped right after you delete them, so it wouldn't really be a big difference.

Out of the 16500 registered members, i bet around 2000 are active with PM'ing and making deals every day..

Well you for one just gave me a great example. You guys tell us to stop bashing or flameing. I have been abused and called more names by staff members than anyone else. You guys constantly give abuse to users that may not even be doing anything wrong but because you dont like them you use your power to mock them and put them down but would ban someone for doing the same to another user... unless someone you like is doing it to someone you dont like then its ok. Your attitudes on about every situation i have seen go on since i been here has been much worse than the users your usually getting on to.

Im pretty sure that they just did. Telling staff to stop taking users sides is a suggestion in itself there isnt much elaborating what needs to be done.
 
@speedofpain - staff are fine, if your an asshole to others, staff included they will respond. However it will only go on for a certain amount of time. I really don't see any power abuse. Remember they are human also, they have feelings. tbh I have no issue with them flaming me, maybe they flame you because you deserve it? All your posts and discussion is hating on other members and or wj, so why even stay? If you hate it here, the staff, and everything else just logout and do us all a favor.



Now as to the pm idea.

16,000 members.
4,000 active

Lets say 2,000 of them use all 200 PM spots.
At 1kb per pm that will be 400mb on the server.

Now you have to consider that out of the other 12,000 members they would total up for a few 100 more mb. Although it doesn't seem like a lot, the growth the wj has increased rapidly over the last 6months alone. I am sure the 400 was less then 200 6 months ago.

All my post and threads are hating on other members? really? all of them? Since when did lieing make you respected? And i haven't did anything you didnt just do, or anyone here for that matter.

They may be human but they are also mods. If they cant act like mods and want to act like normal users then be a normal user. Otherwise you look like a fool banning users for same things you do.

I am respected because I actually help and only really complain about members such as yourself which are anti productive. So please explain what I just did, you said staff treat you bad, I explained why. The problem is where?

Also in order to mod you have to be human. AI is not at a level where you can flick a switch and your forum mods itself. So I really fail to see your point, a mod is human and a normal member is human. They can show emotion and still make fair choices. They will NEVER ban you for no reason. Again a misconception you have about how things work here on WJ. In fact it is really hard to get members ban, trust me :D

Lets get back on topic because you just failed. I could go on however there is no point, the type of member you are is "short-mid term". In other words your here today and soon enough we will not see you any longer.

People like you always complain about staff "abusing" their powers, in most cases you're just too ignorant or retarded to admit your mistakes, so you blame the staff instead of adjusting your behaviour. Eventually your ignorance leads to you getting banned.

The mods have emotions (except Hawk, he's a robot), so obviously if you piss them off than they'll sometimes snap and scream at you, their only human. :P
 
Lol, the few posts above give me the idea of a flame forum. Where people can insult each other as much as they like without being punished. But of course it won't happen because we want this to be a mature place. It will however be used a lot.
 
s019, The Flame Forum on Crazy-Coderz was prolly the most used/commented section - everyone loved it and I support the idea. No racism allowed though. :D
