I need a crawler script !

Hey guys,

I need a crawler script, which crawls sites on the web and finds the download links for mp3 files , and it stores it in my mysql database.

The mp3 links should be direct links (not like free hosting services).

In short a script like beemp3.com

I know there are lot of scripts like beemp3.com but they donot use any database.

But i need a good mp3 crawler which stores links in my database.

I need help.please reply.

also it should store the whole mp3 files or just the link where it was found and where you can download it?

it should store only the download link not the entire mp3 file.

It's worth noting that any type of crawler/scraper/spider for that purpose will consume alot of bandwidth and resources.

How are you planning on this thing working? do you want it to crawl the ENTIRE internet!?! unless you have a computer the size of a building and a fiberoptic cable the width of your face... I wouldnt recommend it.

You need to find a way of using a search engine to filter things down to a list of possible pages. The rest is childs play.

Thats gonna be your biggest problem. you used to be able to do a google search for

"jimi hendrix" intitle:index.of mp3 -html -htm -php -asp -txt -pls

and get a good list of places with mp3s but that stoped working about a week after the trick became popular.
