Well I know most of my passwords, so I only have 2 text files with things I'd need some day. But I have those files on usb stick's, cd's, dvd's mixed with apps, movies and music. So I don't about it that much at all.

anyway if you are asking for website backups, i have it croned job every 3 days if you ask about my files on my personal computer then never !!! they are just there and i keep saving shit in it. every 3 month i format the HD and clean the useless stuff and save some space
