How to upgrade FF Plugin to latest version

Can anyone help me please

As FF almost updating frequently so its a real pain to update the plugins

Can anyone help with steps by step method

Just bypass firefox plugin check. Follow these steps.

Open up the about:config page, and then right-click anywhere and choose New –> Boolean.

You’ll get a popup menu, at which point you’ll want to use one of the two values as the preference name, depending on the version you’re using:

4.0b: extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0b

Then set the value to false.

At this point your extensions should install and installed plugins will work just fine…

The above method should work! But if you want to convert without doing so

-Download addon
-Rename the extension to .zip format
-Extract the file
-Open "install.rdf" file (its something like that only)
There will be min - max version in xml file
-Change that
-Save
-Zip all the files
-Rename extension to default
-Run the extension! Its ready

I tried but when i try to install it, it says

The add-on could not be installed it appears to be corrupt

Any idea ? how to fix it

When you rename the file to .zip dont extract it open with winzip and edit the 1 file and save. rename the extension back to default and install it.
