Are you trying to remove the raid? If so just reinstall and mount the second drive in a LVM partition. This will combine space on both drives without the luxury of Raid 1. If you want them separate, then you can put all the OS partitions on the first drive and mount the second drive as /(whatever you want). You can also make sure both drives are present with.

fdisk -L
smartctl -a /dev/sdx ( to see if the drive is actually present )
etc - any other partition or drive list tool command

If this did not help please clarify; however, if the drives are already in raid you should probably just reinstall.

There is a CentOS wiki page where you will get a step wise information about how to mount RAID 1 with Centos. Hope it helps.
