How often do you backup your websites and how do you do it?

I use the backWPup plugin for wordpress sites, as it has both DB and File backup features and sends the backups to both my dropbox account which is in sync with my Home PC, and VPS via FTP.

On other sites, manual backup just to be sure.

I manually backup my websites through a root sh script, then download it to my hdd.
I don't trust any of these softwares.
My ssh script backs up exactly which databases I want and I then rar it together with the directories I want.
I do it everytime I remember to... almost every day.

Well, nice to see soo many different methods people use to backup their sites.

Hope the people who do not care to backup learn a lesson from this thread.

Every 3 days.
I do a Full Backup thanks to CPanel option, save the file on my internal HDD and for extra security I also copy it to a external HDD which I'm sure to un-plug it after the job was done. I don't want electricity to mess with my backups.

Yeah, I backup quite often, but this is how I fell safe.

I print my code and db dumps off then store the stack of paper in a safe hidden behind a painting in my house.

I do not own a site but I can say as a host the way I backup and how many times I do it is..

I take backups every other day and yes that's too much but a single loss of day can impact a site.. Imagine if it was a week or month..

Then they are ftp securely by a bash script which is encrypted in aes with ftp login and commands..

The ftp server can ONLY be accessed by the server not even my house pc or anyother can access..

Then that ftp server replicates the files once a week to 2 other servers for backup cases..

This is the way I do it to be safe and secure..
