Hosting/Storage offshore quotes please?

Hello, we have been using file sharing site like uploaded, rapidshare to host our files, but sometimes the reliabilty is poor, were not really concerned with affiliate

were wondering we dont really need hosting for our website,

just storage for our users??,

we currently have around 200-250 users were a private dj site, were members have to be verified to join, on average tho, most files we upload never get downloaded more than 50 times each and weve only had 1 dmca request go in for us in two years,

can anyone recommend offshore storage and what package would i need to look at?

or what id need?? i heard a few terms vps etc, im a total noob so appreciate any input

we preferably need unlimited (high disk space) and unlimited bandwidth??

What you are providing is very vague data to suggest you on.
You need to provide info like:
no. of uploads per user
avg size of the file
your budget

it varies

Average size of file varies, usually winrar files are no larger than 700meg, each post varies, most packs we do are no bigger than 5/10 gig again it varies

that why i said id prefer unlimited space really, like alot of these hosters

theres two people uploading files myself and another person

again not sure of budgget but at the moment were only paying $12 for uploaded.to premium so just any quotes or suggestions

we just need online storage/hosting and be able to provide download links for the uploaded files

on average the files are downloaded 50 times

There is no unlimited drive :)

VPS gives you more control over your stuff and it's faster, but it is more expensive than a file host(naturally).
 
hello, @:kruno thanks for the replies, iv seen a lot of sites like hostgator etc offering unlimited bandwith amd unlimited space.?

is this not true?

im not aware of vps, do you reccomend any reliable services? were we can generate links tro be shared with our members??

@Qarizma sorry im a new to this and used to using filehosts, can you reccommend what type of dedicated server i would need and what typical cost would this be??, offshore would be better, although we have only had one dmca request go in in two years. our main concern is reliabilty, it would be good to not have to keep reuping our files due to inactivity/or poor problematic file hosts!

appreciate any help or suggestions

There is no such thing as unlimited hard drive space or bandwidth. The "unlimited disk space and bandwidth" is all a marketing term to rope people in. If you dig deep in their terms of service or acceptable use policy you will see that they actually put limits on the space and bandwidth.

So in short, it is not true.
 
They certainly say Unlimited hard drive and bandwidth, but a fair usage policy applies which will prevent you from using for downloading purposes. Secondly, that's for shared hosting, which means low download speed as well.
