I do not upload to this host and never did, it is for sure not banned here without a good reason, but after I signed up some time ago to check it out, today I got their newsletter:
Now you don't get a download link similar to other XFS hosts but a "File Key" and "File Passwort", which a user has to insert both on their site form on http://www.henchfile.com/?op=one_time_gen (only accessible when logged in) and generate a one time download link, which he can use to get on the download page to select if free or premium download :cough:
They for sure want to block DMCA requests this way since there is no permanent URL for a file, but they ask you for the full URL in their DMCA form: http://www.henchfile.com/dmca_report.html
But I am sure they will fail with their strategy, it's the most fucked up and user unfriendly method I have ever seen in a filehost
:cough: :facepalm:Dear user
Today we have over-hauled the way in which we provide download links to our users. Every download must now obtain a unique download link but don't worry download links provided for old files will still work!
There are two methods for generating a one-time download link:
Method A:
1. Visit our homepage
2. Click "One-Time Link Generator"
3. Enter the unique file "Hash Key" and the associated "Password"
4. Your unique, one-time use download link will be generated for you to navigate to.
Method B:
1. Email any of the following email addresses: dl@henchfile.com, dl@hfile.co, dl@hfyl.co
2.
Set subject: File hash key AND body of email = password
OR
Set subject: File hash key "." (without "") password
3. Your unique, one-time use download link will be generated and emailed back to you for you to navigate to.
This method has been introduced to improve file security.
Within your "My Files" account section, you can generate new passwords for each of your files. You can also export a selection of files to bulk obtain the file hash keys and passwords.
[*] When you upload a file via our website you will be provided with the file hash key and auto-password for each file
[*] When you upload via FTP, file hash keys and auto-passwords will be generated automatically.
If you have any queries relating to this change please email: contact@henchfile.com or visit http://www.*****************/henchf...hange-our-file-download-process.html#post2237
Kind regards
