Help with file hosting

Hello. Me and a friend are looking to start a file hosting site for our followers. What would be the best script that runs on Windows, has the ability for users to upload and download and a captcha on downloading files.

Better not to use Windows as a server OS at all.

Why not Windows? Not great with linux hence why we went with Windows.

You should go with Linux, because script are made for Linux and easy to execute, except this if you go with windows you need more money to spent on windows based coded script.

You should check out NextCloud. It is kind of like google drive but it can be hosted on your own server or with any hosting company that gives you root access.

Also, as other people have stated, a Linux distribution such as Ubuntu server or CentOS would be a much better (cheaper, more secure, more professional) way to go about this.

If you can afford a little bit of time in setting this up, I would say try a swing at installing it your self so you can learn Linux

Otherwise, you can install this as a virtual appliance.

This script is 100% free Welcome to Open Upload Project web site it will need a few fixes I tired to install needed a few fixes I did not want to mess with it since I just wanted to play around with it not use it full blown
