How can u say that...In that case .. How could Google manage All his centres in more than 100 countries??? :P

I think Google Only Employs millions of people :P

there is always a way to take something down. The best thing you can do is be prepared. If someone takes google down for 0.05 seconds, was it a sucess?

Nothing is ever 100% bullet-proof, but if you know and accept this, then you can move on and prepare for the inevitable.

I dont think it`s possible..
Cz Google is one of the most Biggest Organization.

Every single N00b & Pro hacker & many groups have tried their best to fuck google..
But till today it doesnt happened..
Cz Google knows how to manage that..

BUT If half Internet users DDoS Then then their is no way to stop it going down.
But again it`s not possible to combine them all to do so..

man if google is down for 0.5 seconds that will be epic.. U know Why?
Coz at the time ur reading this, more than 10 Millions of person are click "search" on google...and he longest time google takes to find the match to ur serch is about 0.4 seconds xD...so...0.5 seconds can amaze the world :P

Well, Why would anyone bring google down ?? :|...lolzz ever thought of that "HACKERS"///xD

Hackers have used google to learn ... w/o google there would have been no hackers xD..

That is Why i SAID... GOOGLE IS THE GOD FATHER :P

I think Google Only Employs millions of people :P

from their Q4/2009 earnings report:
On a worldwide basis, Google employed 19,835 full-time employees as of December 31, 2009, up from 19,665 full-time employees as of September 30, 2009.

Well none of us know for sure how many servers Google has, so until we go to their place and count em up, we can't ever be sure.

Enjoy :)

Google has over 20 thousand servers. Not just one massive one that everyone connects to. So its pretty much impossible.

Are you crazy. It's way way more than that. It's at least half a million.

Google runs on hundreds of thousands of servers—by one estimate, in excess of 450,000—racked up in thousands of clusters in dozens of data centers around the world.
and that figure is from 2006. Think about how much it's grown since 2006.

I'd say, like zakuza linked to the wiki answers, it's more like a million.

Sure you can take it down :)

-> become friends with a terrorist -> purchase a few nukes -> bomb googles datacenters
