imo good job for google.

cant tell you how many times i search google and get redirected to one of those sites only to find a blank page.

but lame how i got penalized for being a linkfarm :P

@effective - yes the term - "This domain has a severe penalty." is bugged, I tried some random sites and it says that for all of them.

Only "This domain is either banned or has never been indexed by Google." is accurate.

Fuck! I lost 20k daily organic traffic. Smaller websites still getting traffic but other which getting 3k daily are banned.

You know filestube is still going strong. I noticed only a slight drop in traffic with that site

First of all kudos to Mr.Happy for this update.

Secondly, I'm confused, whether the "tags" pages should be disallowed to be indexed or not.

I mean, think as if you're searching for "lords of realm game download" (its a 1994 PC game which I used to play like a maniac). I have 3 posts on my site, one is "Lords of the Ring" - game & "Lords of the Realm 2" - game "Lords of the Realm 3" - game and not the original game version.

So they will have the tags "lords, of, the, realm". Also, they'll have the "download" keyword in the content somewhere. So when I search of it, I get the -
domain.com/tags/lords
domain.com/tags/realm

and they'll both show many posts under them along with "Lords of Realm 2&3" game and I'm searching for version 1. So, its like I won't click on the search result and look on #2 position and then after.

So my point is, are the tags really helpful ? Do they really help in increasing the organic traffic ? Won't Google put a penalty on sites having loads on tags ready to be indexed and having unrelated content ?

I don't know what to believe, can someone please explain this then:

Been using the recent searches for years now...

Code:

The above page is getting below response.

[slide]http://lulzimg.com/i20/9d2663.png[/slide]

Since, response status is 200 , google doesn't have problem with it.

Edit : I may be wrong :|
200 means "OK", and every DDL website that was serving these kind of pages returned 200 as response status, so that wouldn't make a difference.

I have never ranked for the Twilight keyword, most likely because those assretards decided to create a movie that has the same name as my website where you can download those movies for free. Irony.
