Link Exchange With any PR Site Or Get Some text link and do Seo ( u r uding vb so use vbseo )

this might sound weird but i didnt do any link exchange with high pr sites...maybe 2 or 3 with pr 1. im also not good with seo but still my pr increase to 2 from 0. can any1 explain?
