going to install windows xp

i am going to install a windows xp student version i have downloaded on my home computer....But once i downloaded all parts a image file comes out ..

can anyone tell me how to put this on c-d or put a step by step guide on how to do it...

it should be an iso. Use something like power iso 2 burn 2 a disc.

Windows 7 is good now a days if u are using win xp sp2 you can not share the files between two computers if u do some registry modification u can share i saw this problem in my laptop, desktop as well as 0-15 desktop with same problem so if u want to use xp the go for higher version like xp sp3 else windows 7 rocks

I agree to a point since you got to admit so far Windows 7 as it is "out of the box" is miles better than previous releases from MS. Hell even the RC works better than Vista... mind you a ZX Spectrum works better than Vista! ))
