since they also never bother to respond disputes on paypal :))

My advice to all the uploaders out there, is to do the same as me, and stop uploading on Fileserve, as a form of protest, because after all, downloaders are our clients!

Downloading getting page "Your download could not be completed. Please try again la"

Hi,

Using premium account, when downloading files,
Will get on web browser, page showing "Your download could not be completed. Please try again later."

Otherwise jdownloader is unable to get the file too.

PLease assist.

I have a profund respect for the downloaders, the so called "Leechs" according to RickyFS. If Fileserve wants to make things bad for there best clients (aka Premium Users), then they will have the same faight of other filehosts in the past, and be with time, part of history.

I just hope, you can change this new policy ASAP Ricky, but what the hell, there's no great loss if Fileserve dosen't change there policys. It's just another host in the world of Warez at the end of the day...
 
After a PMing ricky my premium account is now working fine. I queued up all the files I missed out on the last few days and it just finished without a hitch. I will check back in if anything changes but for now it seems everything is working as it should.

Landing error , unknown

Hi Ricky

Like many others who use JDownloader , ive hit the Same snag as them. 'unknown landing error' im pretty new to DL and using fileserve , so not sure of the correct way to fix this , but having read the posts on forums , it seems you are the real deal and best man to sort this out.

I will PM you my Filserve name and IP address. I am 100% a full member, i have paid for the premiuim service. PLEASE HELP and resolve this. I really would like to get things back on schedule.

In meantime enjoy weekend. :sun:

612 error too

Hey RickyFS,
I've sent you PM with my username and IP I used at home and office. I've been your premium member since over a year and I hope you can help me on this one. I'm not a server or a bot but just download files a lot. I can download from the office ok but having "612" error since Friday whenever I tried to download from home. Please help

Fileserve, this is just ridiculous

Dear RickyFS,

I cannot understand you are trying to defend this new policy regarding so-called 'leeching services' or heavy downloaders. Especially when I see the banners on your own website. :facepalm:

I ask you to remove "No daily limit on downloads" from your website or you will have serious problems with your premium users. They have the right to ask for a refund or block the payment as you are advertising with false information.

All adjustments to the service you have made lately are not in favour of the user. For example:

  • Making all cookies and sessions rely on IP-address. This means you cannot resume your download when your IP-address changes even if you have a premium account, you will have to sign in again and resume the download. I do not care about the alternatives like the download managers which store your username and password and prevent this. Its the fact that it was possible and it isn't anymore that matters. Why fileserve?
  • Adding reCAPTCHA to the login system. Who was the idiot who thought of this useless change? The reCAPTCHA appeared without reason. (even when you entered the right login information) It also affected the download managers. It seems like you have disabled it (for now, because I can see its still in your source) but again, why fileserve?
  • And now you're putting a limit on daily downloads, without notice. You say this is to block the leeching services, but I doubt that's the real reason. Some logical reasoning. The bigger the files, the more money uploaders get, the more you have to payout. Thus when you limit the number of daily downloads, there will have to be payed out alot less money because you are preventing downloads in the highest payout range. At least be clear about it. Inform your users about the limit. Don't advertise with false information.

This is the straw that breaks the camel's back. I won't be using fileserve anymore, like thousands of other users who already left you for the reasons I mentioned. Bye fileserve. <_<
 
I have no idea why but I know it sux. I let my premium drop a month then paid up again just to get my a** banned after about a few downloads. I always liked Fileserve because for me it is the fastest most stable out there that has lots of video on it.

But I am done with their lame crap now after waiting and emailing for 5 days to get no response. If I had paid by CC like I started to I would try to get the money back, but I used paypal and it isn't worth the fight to try that way.

Anyway so much for Fileserve they will die a slow death just like RS did after that silly crap they pulled a couple years ago. BYE BYE Fileserve this sux.
