Lets see how many members will post useless pictures when they cant boost post or rep.

*If there is another member who starts talking shit about new staff member then 24 hours ban
without a warning as all the staff members are chosen by Admins.
If you are talking shit about Staff member then it means you are talking shit about Admins as they chose this staff.

*When somebody is going to make a thread about foreign holiday them they will need to add ENGLISH description what that holiday is all about.
Right now there is Happy blah blah blah to WJ members.
I mean WTF is this holiday all about.

*Add undercover mods or make all the mods invisible.
Reason for this is simple,as soon as there are no staff members around trolls start to bash members and staff in SB.

*Maybe we could add public gallery mod/plugin where all the members could post pictures they think are funny or whatever.
Yeah i know that will be extra work for staff but it would pay off in the end as there would be clean General Discussion section.

* Staff please calm down with respected members.
There has been huge boost on adding respected status in a past week and well maybe you should calm down as i bet most of you still remember what happened last time.
Right now all the Respected Members are cool as the really deserved it but dont get carried away.

The most important thing about it is the invisible staff thing. When ever there is not staff online, people start selling stuff, which are not allowed even in the CB and things like that go on

It's already implemented. Infact the rule is, if you talk shit about any staff member it's a permaban.

I think Holiday threads should not be allowed altogether.

About useless posts: admins should just create one thread like, funny pic thread, funny videos (i saw one), something like that one with hot milfs photos, etc. And to add rule for everybody to post in appropriate thread.
And yeah somebody said that its gonna generate useless posts like "LOL" "oh thats fun" . Well for this one I would just add "LOL" button and ad to rules that people would use that one rather than making lol post:)):)

I would vote also for invisible mods, coz yeah I am online almost every day and sometimes its full of ads in CB :|

As far I know post count has nothing to do with rep count, and I am not bothered about that. Also you can always check posts and treads created by user so you can know from that how he got so much posts/reps :))

I personally have nothing against funny images and pics, but abusing it for like's is bleh...

Also, forbid topics with religious content, including happy this and that day. It's pure spam, this is not religion forum. Or religion have anything to do with webmaster hangout.
Faith, God, and similar, should stay inside believer's home.

It should not be limited to the staff members. Talk shit about anyone, and just slap in a ban for them. And probably a ban for a bit longer period than 24 hrs I suppose?

Edit : And probably add another small stats thingy just below the username maybe, which will indicate as to how many times the member has been temp banned in the past. Let that ban haunt them forever ;)
 
I have to agree, we need a section for the random threads etc. I think the post count for general discussions should be disabled too, or maybe leave that as it is if the new section is introduced.

Second suggestion, it isn't really a suggestion. If I see someone disrespecting another member of staff, I'd infract and/or ban them on the spot. We may have a little surprise for y'all. :)

Third suggestion, again isn't really a suggestion. This is an English only board, if the thread doesn't follow the rules, report it and we'll lock it or ask the OP to put a translation too.

Undercover moderators - Love that suggestion! Maybe a shoutbox moderator only? That would be awesome if we had a secret undercover moderator!

I don't think many members will use the gallery as they like to read other members opinions etc.

If you believe someone in the respected group should NOT be respected, please PM a member of the administration team. If you can provide evidence of what you're saying against the member, that would be great.

By the way, if none of you noticed, a few of the members have been banned for talking shit about a recent promotion.

I don't think we should forbid topics such as those, the general discussions section is a section for those type of threads. Plus, religious events don't happen every day, they only happen once/twice a year (Christmas, Eid, Diwali etc)
 
To be really honest, members here at WJ are always spamming about this happened and that happened, and also, what funny thing happened and that. But at the end of the day, we have to realise, this is a Webmaster Hangout, as written in the banner, and we better act more of like it.

I am not saying we should stop all that, but don't you guys think we better start "acting" like webmasters, instead of only talking about how much who earned and all that? Fun is always allowed, but we should continue to contribute more at the same time

I rarely see a topic talking about how a member can fix this or that in some script or maybe some server related issue. Or maybe some innovational idea that can change the scene. Don't you guys care of what image we hold?

The uploaders here are real big time douchebags, as they don't even realise, posting about uploading and all that may harm them too, as making a court order to release their info is not that tough, as the work being done is not something very legal and no one will say anything. A simple IP search and some of more stuff will really easily reveal their everything, if the real people want to get them, so what's the point of doing it openly?

I am sure, a lot of members here upload and surely, being smart don't go around talking about it.

What's the point of making a member's life miserable by making him watch the CB all day long? Are these 2 year old kids, who don't know where their is booboo is...

If you guys want, you can do it. Not a bad idea.
 
I was against giving up a forum for spam/'funny' topics, but after looking at your idea, I'm all for it. It would cut down those topics and it would make the General Discussion forum better (at the very least have some discussion inducing threads).
 
I don't really care about post counts not being counted but it'd be nice to have other shit in the general discussion section aside from jokes and funny images.
 
Get rid of the pics of girls in the general section would be good idea since this is not a porn forum. I would disable the CB for a month or 2 95% of what goes on there is nothing but lame trolling attacking each other someone every once in a while trying to selling something or asking for a invite to some lame forum. The CB should only be used off topic clean chat
I think there should be 2 stickys to promote our sites 1 for forums other for blogs
There are a few members that should be banned they are here just to troll spam and nothing more I will not name anybody just check out the CB you will see who they are
