I am really glad Matt Cutts answered this question. Matt Cutts's answer has cleared the situation and painted a good picture of most search engine optimizers.

I agree that Using blackhat SEO techniques or Over doing seo is wrong. As a search engine optimizer I use all white Hat SEO methods for seo purpose. My latest blog has few posts but has good google ranking at google. According to me SEO is nothing but GOOD WEB DEVELOPMENT.
