I see lots for threads, saying where did the chatbox go? Am I banned? Ect ect. Why not add a notice where the chatbox was saying the user was banned and the option to show a reason?

Discuss!

we have a thread in staff section for bans and there reason so as long as staff knows the reason that's all that matters
I have a right to know though. Everyone has a right to know. Every forum I've been on tells the member what went wrong. Its the civilized thing to do.

although i have never been banned, thats a good idea, would cut down on the amount of 'why cant i see the cb' threads tht crop up EVERY time someone is banned, temp ban or not

Not needed, the persons who get banned should know already why they got banned.

But, on the other side it would make no harm if moderators sends a PM or w.e to the person whom got banned

Since a lot of people don't know what happened when the Chatbox dissapears how about showing them a box saying you have been banned from the chatbox, PM a moderator! exactly the same way we are shown a box saying we need to make an introductory posts, etc when we 1st sign up.

(if possible)

It's a good idea, but that means we'll have to heavily modify the chatbox for something isn't really necessary. As MrPeanut pointed out, most bans are short bans that last half an hour, give or take.

No one is banned from the chatbox right away, if you were banned it's never for the "fun of it", there is always a reason, an obvious one. The banned member always knows why he/she is banned.

If you're banned and you have any questions then simply PM a staff member, it's a very easy smooth process to be honest.
