Download Sites - time to viability

To those who run download sites, ie. sites that host RS FS WU MU links for stuff.

What was your timeframe from publishing you site to getting it viable. Viable as in you were able to depend on it, or could have depended on it for your primary income?

Sites can be mainstream or XXX.

6-8 months...though in my case i was making enough money to live on,i never really depended on it.it just went for savings and server cost

i did not start the site to make money
