Pages designed to rank for highly targeted search queries, typically designed to redirect searchers to a page with other advertisements.
Some webmasters cloak thousands of doorway pages on trusted domains, and rake in a boatload of cash until they are caught and de-listed. If the page would have a unique purpose outside of search then search engines are generally fine with it, but if the page only exists because search engines exist then search engines are more likely to frown on the behavior.

the age of doorway pages is now kinda gone. google has become strict. past it was quite good..setting up of pages and spamming the hell with xrumer..rake in with pharma products :D

A doorway page is simply a web page specially designed as an entrance to a website. It has been designed primarily for search engines, not for human beings, so it may present information to the spider, but obscures it from a casual human viewer.
The doorway page is one way to get your website presenting one face to the spider while another to human viewers.

Doorway pages are also typically used for sites that maintain a blacklist of URLs known to harbor spam, such as Facebook, Tumblr and Deviantart.
