I am sick and tired of people having false advertisements.
Get it right 8 Mb = 1 MB!
Megabit < Megabyte
Megabyte is bigger, therefore MB is faster.

Please give your honest opinion.

Mb / MB

1. Also abbreviated as meg, MB is short for megabyte. A MB is a common measurement used with computer storage media. A Megabyte is equal to 1,048,576 bytes. However, the IEC defines that one MB is equal to 1,000,000 bytes, or 106. Therefore, a MB could really equal either of these values although commonly the first value is used in computing.

* A complete comparison between a megabyte and all related storage spaces can also be found on document CHSPACE.

2. Mb is short for megabit and is 1,000,000 bits or 106, this term is often used to express the rate data is transferred. For example, "10/100 Mbps" represents 10 or 100 megabits per second, the common speed of a standard network card.

3. mb or MB is also short for Motherboard,

BIT, Byte, Hard disk drive definitions, Mbps, Measurement, Mebibit, Mebibyte, Mega-, Memory definitions

It really annoys me when someone confuses on for the other.

Most of the rapidleech and RDP sellers here write 1 GBPS, which can be confused to mean 1 Gigabyte per second, though they originally intend it to mean 1 Gigabit per second. :/

@Mr P: You didn't need to copy-paste info from some website on all the meanings of MB or other storage units >.> thanks for the info anyway.

The number of hosts who fuck this up is shocking. It just shows they're either trying to deceive people or they don't have a clue. Either way, not someone to do business with.

I also wonder if people know the difference between transfer limit and bandwidth, I see huge companies making the mistake too. -_-
I just wanted to say don't be fooled, if you expect 100 MBps, you should be getting 800 Mbps (Which is over $1000 for dedicated, I am not sure how someone can split a quad core among 10 or 20 people for $25.....).

That's why ISP's measure speeds in Mb not MB because as the definition says MB is bytes but it is used to measure HDD Capcity. Mb is used for the data transfer ie: Bandwidth or port speeds
