This could of happened to any host using Whmcs,
it's not fair you all boycotting BoxSlots since they were and are the best
host on WJunction, half of you don't even have VPS's with them so don't
post here, and stop making drama.

BoxSlots is being open with their clients and and have reacted
very quickly to this situation in a good way!

Regarding your backup's,
there is always a chance that something could happen to the VPS's
Hard Drive Failure,
VPS getting Hacked
Corruption

You should of prepared to make weekly/daily backups if your data
can not be replicated or if it is valuable, this is in a way your own fault
as these things happen and will always happen with loads of Hosts,
unfortunately it's happened to BoxSlots, this is the first major issue
they have since i have been with them and i will stay by them
because they have support which NO OTHER HOST here has on WJ.

Give BoxSlots the time they need to re-deploy your VPS's
if your still having problems, submit a support ticket.

I just hope you refund us. Nothing against you, but the data which was on my VPS was very important for me and now it is lost.

Whilst data is important, you were a torrenter, still are torrenting your semi-dedicated system was not effected. Please stop throwing salt in the wound because you see others doing it.

How exactly virtual servers got deleted if it was only WHMcs exploit?

No refunds policy is fishy to be honest. It will just cause a mass chargeback and more issues.


If you have Skype etc, I will explain more on the matter, but it's not something I exactly want to go posting on a forum, "Here is a quick-how-to fuck as host over" you know? this has been handed to WHMCS team and also the intruders ISP has been contacted, no-one said there were no refunds, so fishy no. this is just accumulations and I thought you would know better being you have a level of professionalism mate.
 
ah for the refund part :

We normally have excellent reviews - its unfortunate that this situation has occurred, however it is not something that we could have foreseen or prevented and we are asking our clients to understand that every effort will be made to assist them in setting up service and websites however we are not refunding at this time. We will credit your account for time lost though.

I hope that you will remain a loyal customer of BoxSlots and allow us to prove why we have a great reputation.





 
It all comes down to backups at the end of the day. You should always make backups no matter how secure or stable a host is. Hard Drives fail all the time and sometimes things just happen that are not planned. I'm sure Rickie will have it all sorted out soon.
 
Im still with rickie no matter what happens , its not THEIR fault , even the biggest host have gone through this situation for once
and i hope something will be done regarding the backups
 
@ Jayzzy , if you really ware willing to pay a lot for the backup . Contact them and ask them to remove the hdd and try some data recovery softwares . * It will be xtremely expensive tho if they decide to do it

Its not 100% accurate but unless the hdds have been reformated a few times or new data added on it , there is a 70% chance you can get most data back.





 
@everyone,

Those who still cry for backups are just morons. previous issues with Servedome, Rapidspeeds etc showed you the story regarding backups. Many users including me posted importance of having own backup for important data. Even if a host use Raid10, these kind of security issue can lead into mass wipe out.

@rk-boxslots, Sorry for your lose. Hope you will recover.
 
Ok, for those of you that seem to think something fishy is going on here the Modules section of WHMCS was breached this is how they were able to do the damage they did to such masses of nodes, even the backup systems please stop posting things that you "Think" and just post facts I myself and my team are working our asses off right now. As already said in my post if you have anything you need to get off your chest then do it on my personal Skype don't flood threads with stuff that is just speculation. We are hiding nothing and running from nothing I have sat here without sleep working right through the night to try and make this right.


I understand you are mad etc but please just have a little patience.

For those of you with honest concerns and replies thank you for those of you with negative feedback etc we thank you also but this was just a brutal exploit and was exploited.

If you're a real webmaster, you should prioritize what we called BACKUP.

I already got my new VPS and still I am having AWESOME speeds.

As long as they're not scammers they won't fall.

To all those l33t who are blabbering "fishy" or whatever. - Do you guys even have a server with them? - Do you know how hard they have been working and ARE working to re-create the servers (i think all must have been created by now, if am not wrong).

I've been with them for over 6 months. Like someone said previously, they have the BEST (I mean it - i've been with several others hosts) support as compared to any other host on Wj. Those guys @boxslots work their best to sort out issues and that within matter of minutes very often.

@all those mourning over : requesting refund won't get you your backups - START to get your own backups. - This could have happened to anyone as this was done via WHMCS (for instance, SAME SCENARIO happened with ServeDome).

Am behind iHate - he is right saying that its not fair the way some people (even some supposedly "mature" people) are boycotting BoxSlots.

@Deadmau5 You were told like everyone else once i know who's backup's i have i will get them to the users please stop posting such thing's here as it is doing no one any good i cannot reply to tickets, forums, emails & productively work to recover data at the same time.

Same applies to anyone else if you have a ticket dont post ticket ID's here it is not speeding things up.

Also, if you guys can't download a backup to your HDD at least once a week, you fail all.
I even do it on PlatinumW, with my 13GB database... I just let my PC turned on during the night.. Next morning I have the backups on my HDD.

You actually all failed for not having proper backups :facepalm:
