well i've seen few people just to promote their websites they are using domains on their nicknames such as "chris.com, fileserve.com, google.com" and its kinda annoying. it should be disallowed !! only nicknames should be allowed without domains!

there are many ways to promote your own site rather than putting it up on your nickname, there are many sections and a plugin where you can put your websites if you have.

".com, .org, .info, .ws," do you call it a nickname or a name lol? i mean suppose if its "example.com" dont you think it will look better and not annoying if you remove the ".com" ?, "example",

are u talking about Username: Example: "cyberprinceisgay.com"
or this

At first I didn't agree with you, but now that I read it again, I do. I don't think the domain name should be disallowed, just the addition of their extension. So for Google.com, it should just be Google. This won't change though, but thought I'd share my views.

why does it bother ppl, what type of nicknames they got ? only warez forums disallow this saying its a spam(talking/linking/displaying other sitename). However this is a webaster section so......... :|

I dont see why these names should be disallowed.
Its a webmaster forum, and people would want to be recognized as the owner/admin of their website rather than by their names.
Using website name in nick is not annoying, on the other hand, its really important for some people.

those who disagrees, just tell me how many ways out there to promote/advertise their sites? how can someone forget his sitename lol why would someone put his site name on his nickname just because if he forgets his site name he'll look at his own nickname

if the whole majority doesn't agree i'll still stand against them and say "THIS SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED" its a webmaster forum we all know. nickname/username is supposed to be your real name or nick if you have a unique nick such as, Example786, etc.., why would someone put ".com, .org, .info," on their nick? just think to remember his site when he forgot's about it? rofl

you didn't got the point yet
they probably wants there site to be promoted in someways and get some traffic :p

Rolling Camera, Take 2, Action: It's there wish to choose their username, you need not to bother about that as long as you're losing nothing if they do so.. xD
