I have no plans of making this tool shareware. Maybe in future I will add an option like Pro version which unlocks more features. And even if it gets shareware, it will be very cheap.

But don't worry. It's free ;)

are there any reasons why i should defendos instead of avg anti-virus free or avira anti-vir free?

how often is database updated?

It's not an antivirus replacement tool. It's an additional tool.

The main database is update weekly, but if there is an 0day it will be update immediatly.
The P2P database is updated daily.

I have worked on a new release. With some good improvements.

- Fixed: New download/upload server.
- Remov: Green icon in tray replaced for the default white one.
- Remov: Threat reporter, this is now through our forum.
- Remov: Bug reporter, this is now through our forum.
- Remov: The installer has been removed, as Defendos is portable.
- Added: Inspector, new feature that inspects a file for infections.
- Added: Processor and memory monitor interface. Just for the looks.
