When i try to install DDL CMS in sub directory, i'm getting error that the database user, pass, name are wrong, though i gave the correct details. Did anyone succeeded installing in subfolder? Can anyone suggest how to install in subfolder?

no, they are correct. if i give the document root directory path and base directory path same, and with same database details, the installation is successfull. but, if i install it in subdirectory, it is giving database error though the details are same.

anyone familiar with ddlcms?

Very few people use DDLCMS. It's a script that's a few years old now and doesn't have a support community. I think your better off going for WCDDL Version 3.

On a default install it doesn't have as many features but their are a lot more plugins available, themes and way more people use it so it's far easier to get help.

DDLCMS also has a history of security problems while WCDDL doesn't. It's a far more secure simpler script which is faster and more efficent as a result.

people go for DDLCmS seeing the commission but trust me, if they earn 80% from your site they pay you like 20%.

Thank you very much for the response mr happy and immu, yeah, most of the people go for ddlcms as they have referral thing. but i had selected it as it has the finest layout with inbuilt features. but, anyway i will go with wcddl.

will it take more database space for storing the index files? how much space is enough for running successfully? running ddl site is completely illegal? as i think this is just a indexing site of ddl links from other warez sites, it will not be illegal, right?
