i have just installed the nVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS and color of monitor are messed up

monitor before installing graphic card

i think it works...go to nVIDIA official web and run auto detect driver update and download the latest driver and install it..hope it will be work fine
 
I just checked this thread from my mobile and surprised to see that nothing is wrong with colors there but this is not the actual colors I am seeing with my eyes I will now take a snap from my mobile to show you how the screen actually look like
 
That looks more like a resolution issue , try safe mode and see what the setting are for the card to monitor and reset them plus your wallpaper.

Also what os are you running it on and is that the 512mb pci express version if it is you should have saved your money and got something better. like a GT430 or440 I wholesale then for about $15-20 more
 
i too have Nvidia GS400 XFXForce
Might be some problem with your color settings ?
Whats the refresh rate ?
