Coder help appreciated for automatical Scene site

I am currently (attempting) to code an automatical site with PHP that uploads all releases from The Scene (if you don't know what this is, please just ignore this whole thread), but it turns out to be a massive job for a single coder.

Anybody wanna help out coding this stuff? I have a design (not completed though) and I have done some very small PHP stuff, but not by far gotten to the target.

Basically I believe I have everything to make the site work. I have an FTP server (cleverly called "Topsite" by the Scene) that posts all the releases, I have a Pre-site that lists the Pretimes and I know a site that offers high-speed servers for the downloading/uploading of the files. I think I have everything except for the coding. PHP/MySQL/Apache/what-else-you-need-to-use is hard stuff to do alone.

Also, if you don't want to help me code, I would appreciate it if anybody could direct me to help sites or explain what all of this Apache/Curl/MySQL stuff is. The more I understand it, the easier it is to code it xD

I can code it >.> have coded it but uses private trackers as the source but if u have the 'topsites' i guess I can implement something new too.. ;)

I have access to an FTP server where all releases are posted within a second of its pretime. I guess that's a 0sec FTP, but I haven't cared enough to learn the nicknames haha...
 
I coded one to work of 'g*****k' years ago, just recomending that you use non blocking FTP calls (then you can do multiple transfers at a time). from the PHP FTP extension

[EDIT] decided that even though site is closed I should still censor site name.
 
I don't think the PHP FTP functions work for this. These topsites aren't regular FTPs. Hard to explain, but I have sent gunda a mail, so I'll just wait for the response. Hopefully gunda knows what to do :D
 
php ftp functions will do it. As I said I used it on the G****K servers without problem. Topsite FTPs have a few custom commands SITE etc but the downloading is still the same. Ive sent you a PM because I want to know something.

Im waiting for you to get out of Probation so I can send you a PM, in the mean time would you add me on splitice A.T hotmail D.O.T com since I cant PM you.

No, I don't own a topsite. I got access to it by a Scene group.

LOL I really hope you don't expect me to now grant you the access to a topsite when I have absolutely no idea who you are. You could be FBI for all I know. See my security point here? Getting into a topsite requires all of its users to think security before anything else.
 
Okay, received the mail, and yes its definitely doable! I've thought about it myself before but used torrents as the source. Have a domain too if you wish to use - SceneGet.net . Waiting for ur reply on mail ;)

The scene will hate you for this.

If you're leaking the entire topsite's contents to the public. Completely against general scene rules.
So either it isn't a major topsite (if one at all) or you're just being careless.
 
Yeah, the Scene will hate me along with everybody else ;) They hate mankind for starting Warez forums. I'm just one of all Scene forums.

And no, it's not a major topsite. In fact, the Scene doesn't even upload to it. It's made by a crew with strong connections to the Scene that have created an auto-uploader line from the major ones to their topsite. And they haven't publicly commercialized their topsite, so it is still a secret.

I'm risking nothing with this.
 
Look, dude, I don't really care. It posts all Scene releases within a second or two of its pretime. That's just as good as a topsite, especially since all releases are posted.

Quick Sand add my mail (sceneinformation [at] gmail DOT com) to your MSN and I'll confirm it as soon as I setup MSN for this email, which will probably be tomorrow.
