Hi, I created an avatar in Flash which is animated, it's only a basic image and it fits the dimensions what wjunction requires yet I'm not allowed to upload it because it's animated.

Is it possible you could enable animated images? Or if you think this will somehow get abused provide this feature to respected members/coders & staff?

Just because you have the "Respected Member" rank dosen't make you that trusted or special from the rest, if they make it available they have to do it for all members, no exceptions made.

Well, it kinda does make me more trusted than the rest, I'm not saying there's no chance I will never do anything bad but the whole reason people become trusted is because they are loyal which means they are less likely to go and do something stupid (most cases anyway)

I think it's up to eLight whether he decides this or not and not you.

I don't understand why you had to reply to disagree with something I put when if you wanted an animated avatar you'd put something like "I'd also like this feature" something tells me you just wanted to post to be a peoples champ or something.

Maybe the feature should be available to people with 500+ posts only then?

We have all witnessed stories where Super Moderators scammed, so never say never.

I don't think there could be any security flaws from animated gifs, oh and it's nice seeing a nicer and mature atidutte from you, that's after you comeback of course.
 
It is "Respected", not "Trusted", which doesn't mean you are trusted in any way, it is just a respect from the hierarchy to show their appreciation of what you have done.

Although I do agree with both sides, it can be abused, and there is less chance that a respected user will abuse it. I'm not saying all regular members will, and there are people in the member group who I respect more than some in the actual respected group, but it would be practically impossible to stop the others ruining it.

I say it's a good idea, only for staff and other ranks though, due to the obvious reasons.

I think it could be exploited in terms of content instead of terms of security. I know people in the staff system have done stupid things that's why I never said never.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it, it'd just be a nice little feature to add imo especially because I enjoy using Flash.

I appreciate his suggestions, not many do.

I wasn't crying because he has the Respected rank, i've said it before and ill say it again Respected rank won't make you Respected, so this has nothing to do with his rank or someone crying about it, i respect the new Sp32.
 
you dont think the Respected members of the community should have perks that the regular members dont then? whys that? i would have to agree from the way you replied @ raptile you are indeed jealous.

@ sp32 isnt there some software you can use to convert swf to an animated gif instead>?

That's totaly ridicolous, i wasn't never ever jealous at any member here for their obtained ranks, that won't ever happend, it's just a rank.

Yeah that's what I already did, I exported it as a gif; for some reason wjunction wont accept animated gifs only normal gifs.

Its going to be annoying reading threads so just give it to the colored group or something because if we all get the rights for it. its going to be a headache

Indeed, only a certain class should be able to do that. With the time, it gets really annoying if anyone is using those animated .gifs.
