Are Blogspot backlinks matters for SEO?

I've start building 2 blogspots and having a few articles on them but I want to know if I put backlinks on articles from blogspots. Can they help for better keyword rankings?​

First, backlinks from web 2.0 like blogspot or wordpress are valuable if they are carefully made by yourself. Many forums or niche sites may be taken down or attacked, but 2.0 websites are not. So if you can build those links by yourself, it will be good backlinks.
Second, blogspot is the child of Google, so yeah, it may have some favors ) who knows )

Each and every link matters for SEO weather it is from Blogspot or any other website/blog. The only difference is of quality and relevance to the your website. If the article on Blogspot is highly relevant to your website it will be more effective otherwise less effective.
