Amazon recently announced the file syncing feature to its Cloud Drive Desktop app. The App launched in May 2012, lacked the feature because of which it wasn't considered a decent Dropbox competitor.

But with this recent update it might seem that Amazon is taking backup services more seriously and they do plan to take on other services like Dropbox and Google Drive.

Amazon Cloud Drive gives 5GB free storage to its user, with an option to upgrade by paying more 10$ a year.

What do you think of Amazon's move? Do you think it would be a big competitor for Dropbox and google? Would you use it? Do leave your comments below.

Drop box is good they said. its hosted on the amazon, they never said [pokerface]

On a serious note :-=, I guess it'll obviously become popular, but will take time.

I don't think Amazon cloud service will be a strong competitor to Dropbox.I like Dropbox and it is very useful and I really don't want to change it.
