Easiest method is to add different type of manual things...

A better captcha... A manual question or 2... You cant really beat the bots unless you change your forum to something the bots arent compatible with

On a serious note, try questions that you manually set.

depending on what forum software you have search in the modification section on the website and there are a few for each software

What forum software? If vb then get Absolute Defense, search on vbteam.info and their is one option that will solve this. Try to get answer question such as 4 + 4 = ?

Install Stopforumspam on your forum IPB is not supported this has worked great on my forum after I installed it I have only had 2 spammers join my forum. Before I was getting 2 to 4 spammers a week on my forum
