You mind posting your photo manip work? Please, if you can't appreciate someone's efforts then at least don't demoralize him. I am not saying that you are not better than him, if you think you are, then tell him his mistakes, help him, tell him how to improve. Giving rude ratings will bring nothing but sadness to him.
