7-ZIP or WINRAR

For a user, obviously 7zip.

Why on earth would you prefer a proprietary closed-source application?
7zip is open source, likely supports more formats, is available on linux and can unpack every format winrar does.

People who use winrar need to learn to start using better, free software.
 
I do a lot of work on many different computers and when I need to open any archive, its easy enough to just pop my flash drive into the PC or laptop and install 7-zip within a few seconds.

WinRAR is essentially pointless unless you're concerned with looks rather than functionality.
