500 error in wordpress

Hey guys I'm having problem with wordpress.
When I upload the files in main public_html den I receive this eroor

[h=2]500 - Internal server error.[/h][h=3]There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.[/h]

and when I create a folder in it and upload all the files there then wordpress works fine.

chmod files to 755 and folders to 644.
