Do you allow .torrent-files (not the original pirated content) to be hosted on the servers and how far are you willing to go with the "managed" aspect of the VPS server? Also, does anyone have experience with this host?

Everyone is so against Windows, I have a dedicated server with Windows Server 2012 running on it and Xampp next to it and it runs my forum just fine. It is just much easier for a noob (like me) to control the server.

You probably got hacked and somebody got your root rights. If your host complaints about DDoS attacks originating from your server, ask them to show proof first.

As far as I know, there is no restrictions as to what you can host on the license as long you host it yourself. You just bought the right to use a legitimate version of a software which (be honest) they should not complain about, you could use a pirated version too right? :p

I wouldn't suggest you go with a free online hostingservice for hosting your warez, if they ban you they're in their right and you are there looking at all your work that is not there anymore and you can't do anything about it...

On my Windows Server 2012 I installed VirtualBox and then used those boxes as VM's (or VPS's). Maybe that's a tip for the beginner? :)
