VPS How much will you pay for this ?

I intend with a friend to offer NL VPS's With this VPS's Specs

CPU: 2x ( Quad 3ghz = 4 x 3) SHARED (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5450 @ 3.00GHz, 8 cores)
RAM: 1-2GB
HDD: 125GB SAS (THE FASTEST HARD DRIVE EVER)
BANDWIDTH: UNLIMITED 1GBPS
DATACENTER: ECATEL
OS: LINUX OR WINDOWS


And some other Things

Well how much will you pay for thing like this

I think Ecatel DC will provide this as i know but we will see into this as we just bought the Server and looking to setup it on the DC

How did you get 4TB? Even if you go with 8x 600GB SAS in RAID10 it wouldn't be 4TB of useable space. For ideal performance I'd suggest 36GB RAM.

I don't think Ecatel will lease you that configuration. If you ever dealt with them you would realize they offer only old CPU series like X3320, with max 2 drives(SATA2, not SAS or SSD drives).

Its no Raid, also we will do colocation not Renting a Server

And its Dell PowerEdge 2950 III

LOl..leaseweb can offer you better server in less than 400 Euros...

I guess you will go with 1gbps unmetered since you will be offering unmetered bandwidth(considering you are a honest guy and you woudn't oversell a few TBs and suspend heavy bandwidth users). What's the point spending over 1000 euros on a dedicated 1gbps unmetered line when you can lease the same thing for much lower rate? Colocation is a better solution when you own the whole rack.

Well, I asked for a quote several times in the past few years. You were never able to offer anything better than 3-4 years old CPU and 2x SATA2 drives. I understand new CPUs are more expensive and it would decrease your profit but who am I to question your business plan.

Older CPU models will be cheaper.

Use AMD rather then Intel to get more power at a lesser cost

Yes, my partner is have the same spec servers for some heavy websites

As he said to me, unlimited GBps it was 220 euro month so no need to pay 1000 euro as you said also we wont oversell from our servers this is the point, offering good services (get what you pay for ).

Yeah but a whole rack is not a cheaper solution also if i buy a whole rack i need to buy more servers this mean more -$$$$ .. anyway we will see what we will do, for now we are buying the server and sooner we will ship to ecatel DC

Hi what you asked in the past few years does not have a relation to what we offer now. And it must be a while ago because we did offer 8core machines already in 2010.
